Kathy’s love for animals began at an early age with summers spent on her grandparents’ farm. She met Jared when she hired him to help train her two dogs. People always told that the man of her dreams would not come knocking on her front door but they were wrong!
 
Through Jared she was also able to realize her long time dream of learning to ride horses. With his guidance and encouragement she has been able to form a wonderful partnership with her first horse Charlie. Learning to ride as an adult has proved to be challenging but wonderfully rewarding.
 
Along with running In Stride Horsemanship with Jared, Kathy works as a dentist in Morganton, NC. She enjoys treating patients of all ages. In her spare time she continues to learn more and more from Jared and all of their horses. Their six dogs and two cats are also a huge part of her life and she loves hiking everywhere she can with the dogs.
 
Recently Kathy has taken up photography and especially loves capturing the horses, dogs and cats in action. A number of her photos appear on the website and a gallery of her best work is featured under “Kathy’s Photos”.
 
She finds that each client and each client horse are unique and loves watching their relationships with each other evolve under Jared’s guidance. She looks forward to meeting each of them and possibly getting some good photos!
